Ty-Rap® Flame-Retardant Cable Ties from Thomas & Betts are made of flame-retardant nylon 6.6 that meets the UL94V-0 flammability rating, making them ideal for public areas where evacuation is a concern, including mass transit vehicles and stations, as well as infrastructures, such as tunnels and oil and gas rigs. Ty-Rap® Flame-Retardant Cable Ties also offer chemical resistance and low smoke density.
“Ty-Rap® Flame-Retardant Cable Ties are ideal for the mass transit industry, cruise ships and anywhere the public may need to be evacuated quickly,” said Chad Smith, director, product management for Thomas & Betts. "Their flame-retardant performance is excellent, which makes them the appropriate cable tie to use in passenger and crew compartments, as well as any other areas where low smoke density and fire resistance are critical.”
Ty-Rap® Flame-Retardant Cable Ties are for use in temperatures ranging from minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 40 degrees Celsius) to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (85 degrees Celsius).
